Rooster Workspace is hiring a Secretary / Grant Writer for our client in NY. We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Secretary/Grant Writer to join our team. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to our organization while also leveraging their grant writing expertise to secure funding for our programs and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and write grant proposals to secure funding from government agencies, foundations, and corporations
  • Maintain accurate records of grant applications, awards, and reporting deadlines
  • Collaborate with program staff to gather information and develop customized grant proposals
  • Review and edit grant proposals and reports for clarity, accuracy, and coherence
  • Assist with basic bookkeeping and data entry.
  • Provide general administrative support, including scheduling, correspondence, and record-keeping


  • Experience as a secretary or administrative assistant
  • Knowledge in grant writing preferred.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with attention to detail and clarity
  • Excellent research and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Familiarity with grant management software and databases is a huge plus
  • 20 Hours a week, starting pay at $18 / Hour with Potential to grow.
